Many of my students work with me on both test prep and academic coursework — the skills overlap more than you'd think. Whether you're already working with me on test prep or looking specifically for expert-level academic tutoring, I offer individualized support in three subjects:
Conceptual understanding and exam strategy for both AB and BC. Focus on building fluency with limits, derivatives, integrals, and series (BC), with particular attention to the free-response questions that determine most students' scores.
Foundations in polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. Strong precalculus skills are also essential for high SAT and ACT math scores, making this natural complementary work.
Conceptual depth and problem-solving strategy for AP Chemistry. Before I focused on test prep, I taught high school chemistry — this is a subject I know deeply from both the teaching and testing sides.
My AP and subject tutoring is best suited for students and families looking for the same caliber of individualized attention I bring to test prep. If your student needs ongoing homework help at a lower intensity, a subject-specific tutor at a different price point may be a better fit. If your student is working with me on SAT or ACT prep and struggling in AP Calculus or Chemistry, combining the two is often the most efficient path.
